The Bloomfield Hills Remodel

Remodel plumbing is a different discipline than service plumbing. You're not just fixing what's broken — you're building a system from scratch inside a finished home, coordinating with tile setters, electricians, and general contractors, and passing rough-in inspections before anything gets covered up.

A Bloomfield Hills homeowner hired us to replumb a master bath addition: a freestanding soaking tub, a double-sink vanity, a walk-in shower with a linear drain, and a separate water closet. The existing supply lines were 1/2-inch galvanized — too small and too old to feed the new fixtures properly.

We ran new 3/4-inch PEX supply lines from the main, installed individual shutoffs for every fixture, and roughed in the drain-waste-vent system with 3-inch ABS to the shower and tub and 2-inch to the sinks. The linear drain required a custom-sloped mud bed — we coordinated directly with the tile contractor to make sure the slope was correct before he set the tile.

Three rough-in inspections. Three passes. The inspector commented that the vent stack layout was cleaner than most new construction he sees.
